1build translates building blueprints into shopping lists of construction materials that can be purchased from local suppliers. Over the last 9 months, we've grown 13x in revenue and facilitated $1B+ in construction spend.

Our leadership team have backgrounds at Tesla, Uber, Bechtel, and CloudKitchens. You will be a key part of 1build’s growth strategy and will be responsible for working at both strategic and tactical levels to help grow the company quickly and effectively.

Your Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the analysis of initial issues & goals, do research and determine solutions & requirements

• Design and implement scalable and high-performing solutions

• Make architectural decisions and recommendations for converting successful prototypes into mature products

• Collaborate with teams across 1build to improve our product, architecture and engineering practices

• Think about UX and make it better

• Solve technical problems of large scope and complexity

• Create high-quality technical design documentation considering the product requirements

• Take long-term responsibility for the team’s domain area

• Drive and develop technical expertise growth within the team

What you'll need

• You have at least 3 years of experience in software engineering and at least 2 years of experience in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React

• Strong Computer Science fundamentals

• You've developed and shipped user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks

• You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability

• You’re familiar with product and design lifecycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers

• You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability

• Experience working with and/or designing GraphQL based APIs

• You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers

• You constantly seek to learn and improve yourself

• Fluent in English

• You naturally contribute to a culture of excellence

• Your work ethic drives you to aggressive productivity with high standards

• You're passionate about tech, and opinionated about what makes it good
