Front End Software Engineer (Hybrid Schedule, San Jose California)

We are looking for a frontend developer with job responsibilities and background as follows: Become the frontend expertise of the team. Expectation is about 90% frontend and 10% backend with backend work limited to bridging between the frontend and backend. Ownership of the frontend features that include viewing circuit boards, visualizing components and boards in 3D , searching over components and design alternatives, etc. Enhance user’s experience by implementing various features such as zooming, scrolling, displaying multi-sheet designs, as well as placing, moving, rotating, and routing between components etc. Based in the Bay Area but open to hybrid schedule. Minimum of 3 years of individual contributor work experience, above internships or co-op experience. Tech Stack: JavaScript, React, Node.js, Typescript, and more. Experience in Python, C++ or Java, a bonus. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related fields (not mandatory). Bonus Points: Having Hardware experience or knowledge or hobby projects, specifically in circuit boards, workflow, electronic components, CAD tools such as Altium, KiCad, etc. Please include any relevant hobby projects or Github projects on your resume.

$135,000 - $170,000 a year Preference to local Bay Area candidates will be given. This candidate will be expected to be local (or relocated from another state within the USA).

POST-COVID WORK PLAN

This role will need to be local within the California Bay Area. JITX will continue to be flexible in the Post- Covid Work Plan in our Downtown San Jose or Berkeley office (or combination of both) on a hybrid or full time basis.

JITX Compensation Philosophy Salary bands are reflective of two (2) Salary Surveys. Data is in real time, so data is always in flux due to the market. JITX follows the 75th percentile based on metros. JITX follows performance based increases based on promotion. Longevity in position will follow the market. JITX follows a performance review process twice a year (Mid Year- February and Annual - August), to keep on par with market data.

Multiple levels can apply to this role! An example of such are two pay bands: P2 Level, Salary Only Salary - SF Bay Area $115,000- 145,000 (75% percentile benchmark is $135,000) P3 Level, Salary Only $154,000- 180,000 (75% percentile benchmark is $170k) Preference to local Bay Area candidates will be given. This candidate will be expected to be local (or relocated from another state within the USA).

POST-COVID WORK PLAN

This role will need to be local within the California Bay Area. JITX will continue to be flexible in the Post- Covid Work Plan but this role will be asked to join certain team members on a hybrid basis in a San Jose Office or our Berkeley office. Remote option may also be available.
