Founding Product Manager

23 February, 2026
Salary Offered
$1,500,000 — $5,000,000 yearly
SureBright is building the world’s first AI-native, agentic warranty company. In line with that, this is a high-ownership “do whatever it takes” role for someone who wants to operate at founder speed, learn the full stack of an insurance/warranty business, and ship work that directly moves revenue, conversion, and retention.
What you’ll own
As our Founding Product Manager, you’ll take ambiguous, high-impact problems and turn them into shipped product. You’ll do discovery, define the strategy, design the workflow/UX with UI/UX designer, partner with engineering to deliver, and then drive iteration based on metrics and customer feedback.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll be expected to “deliver the product yourself” (flows, wireframes, PRDs, acceptance criteria) and run the full loop from insight → build → launch → learn → refine.
What you’ll do
- Problem discovery and research (independent)
- Identify the highest-leverage problems across merchant onboarding, checkout attach rate, claims experience, and D2C conversion
- Talk to merchants, customers, and internal ops weekly; synthesize insights into clear opportunities
- Research the market: compare competitors/tools, evaluate vendor solutions, and decide build vs buy vs partner
- Map workflows end-to-end and find failure points (latency, confusion, trust gaps, compliance constraints)
- Product definition and design (end-to-end)
- Write crisp PRDs: goals, non-goals, user stories, edge cases, constraints, success metrics
- Design user journeys, flows, and wireframes yourself (fast iteration > perfect pixels)
- Define data and event tracking requirements so we can measure what matters from day one
- Collaborate with compliance/ops to ensure policies, disclosures, and flows are correct and auditable
- Execution with engineering
- Drive sprint planning and delivery with the tech team: clarify scope, unblock decisions, manage tradeoffs
- Ensure high-quality releases: acceptance criteria, QA, launch plans, rollbacks, and operational readiness
- Work closely with AI/ML engineers when features involve agentic workflows, RAG, or automation
- Launch, metrics, and iteration
- Own the product’s success metrics (conversion, attach rate, retention, claims cycle time, CSAT/NPS)
- Run an experiment cadence: A/B tests, lifecycle messaging tests, pricing/packaging tests, UX experiments
- Use qualitative feedback + quantitative data to iterate quickly and continuously improve outcomes
AI-first expectations
We expect you to be fluent with modern AI tools and use them daily to move faster and think better:
- Rapid research and synthesis (market scans, customer call summaries, requirements extraction)
- Creating and iterating on PRDs, flows, copy, and specs
- Prototyping and testing workflows
- Working effectively with agentic product concepts (tool use, guardrails, human-in-the-loop, audits)
What success looks like (first 90 days)
- You ship 1–2 meaningful product launches that improve a core metric (attach rate, D2C conversion, claims cycle time, CSAT)
- You establish a repeatable discovery rhythm (customer calls + weekly insights + prioritized roadmap)
- You put in place clean instrumentation and a dashboard for your product area
- Engineering feels unblocked and shipping faster because your specs are clear and decisions are timely
Who you are
- Extremely high-agency: you thrive in ambiguity and turn it into execution without waiting for direction
- Customer-obsessed: you enjoy talking to users and you’re relentless about solving the real problem
- Strong product taste + systems thinking: you can design workflows that are simple, reliable, and scalable
- Data-informed: you can define metrics, interpret funnels, and make smart tradeoffs quickly
- Clear communicator: you write crisp specs and can align founders, engineers, ops, and compliance
- Original thinker: you’re not just copying patterns—you can create better ones
Requirements
- 4+ years in product management (startup experience strongly preferred), or equivalent founder experience owning product end-to-end
- Proven track record shipping products from 0→1 and iterating them based on metrics/feedback
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver on a tight cadence
- Comfort with ambiguity and moving fast in a high-ownership environment
- In-person in Gurgaon, India
Nice to have (not required)
- Experience in e-commerce, checkout/CRO, or post-purchase workflows
- Experience in insurance, warranties, fintech, or other regulated products
- Familiarity with AI/LLM product patterns (copilots, agentic workflows, RAG-backed experiences)
Why this role is special
- Direct founder exposure and high leverage: your work will change the trajectory of the company
- Real breadth: growth + underwriting/claims ops + product, in one seat
- Build an AI-native category-defining company in a massive market
- Career accelerant: if you perform, your scope and title will grow quickly
