Bluebirds is automating sales prospecting with signal-driven outbound. Our customers use Bluebirds to target their market with surgical precision, using signals from data sources like job postings, prospect websites, 10Ks, LinkedIn, etc.

Founders: Kunal Punera (Co-founder and CTO) was an AI Director at LinkedIn leading 30+ AI engineers, and previously the founding engineer of RelateIQ (sold to Salesforce for ~$400M). Rohan Punamia (Co-founder and CEO) was an AI Product Manager at LinkedIn, and previously started his career in GTM Ops.

The path forward for outbound sales

Outbound used to be the most effective growth channel for B2B companies. But we've spoken to hundreds of sales leaders and there's a clear consensus – it's not working anymore. Targeting based on simple filters in ZoomInfo or Sales Navigator no longer cuts through the noise, and most AI tools make the problem worse by flooding buyer inboxes with robotic messaging.

We’re scaling a novel outbound model popularized by Rippling, Ramp, and Navan — some of the fastest growing startups in recent history. They invested 7 to 8-figure in engineering and data to build automated outbound engines using signals.

Bluebirds is 100x cheaper and 10x more powerful, enabling GTM teams to scale hyper-targeted messaging that converts better. The former head of Rippling’s automated outbound engine now uses Bluebirds, we have meaningful ARR, and 3x'd revenue with cutting-edge growth teams in the last couple months.

We’re building towards a future where an analytical marketer, a few sales reps, and powerful signals from Bluebirds can outperform a team of 30 sales reps.

What we’re looking for

This is not your traditional GTM role, and is compensated as such. You will be the first non-technical hire and therefore have a large amount of responsibility and autonomy to make Bluebirds successful.

  • Your KPI will be Pipeline and Revenue, with the right customer profile. You’ll do whatever it takes -- network / customer referrals, phone, emailing, Linkedin messaging, etc. You’re not afraid of getting your hands dirty.
  • You know how to stay organized and run a strong outbound motion with little supervision. When things don’t work, you’re resilient and try new strategies and tactics. You’re not easily discouraged.
  • You excel at running deals end-to-end, and are always improving at the “art of sales”.
  • You’ll report to the CEO and start by co-owning the prospect relationship. Over time you’ll own that responsibility.
  • As a member of the founding team you’ll work closely with the founders, engineering team, and our customers to build a product that changes outbound sales. You’re expected to contribute to company strategy, culture, and operations.

Role logistics

  • This role is in-person 3 days a week in San Francisco. We will consider exceptions for the right candidate, though we hope you also want to be in person during this formative stage of the company.
  • We pay 90th percentile on base, equity, and benefits, and expect everyone to have an outsized impact on company success. This means working smart and hard enough — we tend to work 45 to 55 hours a week. Exact compensation will vary based on level of experience and skill set. Above all else we prioritize people with the right attitude, raw horsepower, and culture fit.

You’re probably a good fit if you…

  • Have a 3 to 8 year track record of exceeding quota driven by outbound as an AE, especially at companies without strong brand awareness. Running GTM for a new startup is very different than selling for an established company.
  • Are ready to make an impact from day 1. This means rolling up your sleeves and cold calling or emailing with personalized messaging, of course powered by Bluebirds. You are confident with your handle on the basics of outbound and don’t shy away from unglamorous work.
  • You know how to iterate on messaging and product positioning and are familiar with cutting-edge tools like Clay to scale hyper-targeted outbound. In another life, you could have been a growth marketer.
  • You are analytical and think strategically, and might be interested in broader scope beyond an AE role.
  • You may want to be a founder one day, and are excited to join a highly technical and experienced team on the 0 to 1 journey of finding product <> market fit. You embrace ambiguity and might even be interested in product development.
