Our clinician-led founding team combines healthcare operations expertise with technical excellence. Dr. Ryan Gallagher, our CEO, is a Stanford/Harvard-trained physician from the founding teams of Two Chairs and Ophelia (YC W20). Jeffrey Lamothe, our CTO, worked on voice AI at Amazon Alexa and led AI/ML projects at Salesforce and Citi's AI lab.

What you'll be working on

• Develop outbound voice and SMS engagement tools that enhance patients’ healthcare experience and streamline care coordination by reaching them at optimal times with personalized information tailored to their needs.

• Creating an application where healthcare staff can monitor AI interactions, configure automated workflows, and manage exception cases

• Scaling our conversational AI platform with a focus on reliability, call quality, and smooth handling of concurrent conversations

• Developing robust integrations with healthcare systems, including EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Athena), scheduling software, and telephony infrastructure

Requirements

• Strong technical experience with 3+ years at startups or fast-moving companies

• Proficiency in our tech stack: NodeJS, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS infrastructure

• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and building reliable, scalable systems, ideally in environments with strict compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).

• Familiarity with conversational AI systems and large language models, with the ability to collaborate on production-grade LLM implementations.

• Opinionated about code quality, engineering best practices, and system architecture, while maintaining a pragmatic approach to shipping quickly in ambiguous environments.

• Excited to work in-person in our New York office, collaborating closely with the team.

• Technical Assessment (1hr) [Virtual]: Solve a practical coding problem with our CTO in your preferred programming language.
