Opkit is building a developer platform for healthcare payments, starting with a modern API for health insurance. Our API product allows developers to submit health insurance claims in ten minutes with fewer than ten lines of code. This is 10x better than competing solutions.

Opkit was founded in June 2021 by Sherwood Callaway and Justin Ko, both early engineers from Brex, the $12b financial technology startup.

As our Founding Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and operating our public-facing API, which allows our developer-customers to programmatically interact with health insurance plans. This API must be secure, reliable and robust - capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of requests per second. It must also be delightful to use!

You will also be responsible for building our web dashboard, which allows customers to manage their API keys and view and manipulate certain API resources using a graphical interface.
