We are looking to hire 2 Founding BDRs at Artie! Our team is fully in-person and works out of our office in SF’s Financial District 5x/week.
About Artie
Artie syncs databases and data warehouses in real-time and more reliably than traditional ETLs. Most companies are running batch ETLs to replicate data and are dealing with lag of hours to days. We make replication real-time and reliable, and help businesses power use cases like risk and transaction monitoring, live inventory visibility, customer facing analytical dashboards, and many others.
We’re working with amazing customers like Substack, Papaya Pay, Indigov, and Tatango, and are on track to 4-5x revenue this year. We’re looking for 2 BDRs to take us beyond founder led sales.
We’re backed by top investors including Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Pathlight, and many angel investors including the founders of Dropbox and Mode.
Role & responsibilities
- Outbound prospecting! You will be responsible for sourcing/qualifying leads and generating pipeline. You will NOT be receiving any inbound leads.
- Identifying high-potential businesses, verticals and markets, and developing and executing outbound strategies. Share learnings and market feedback with the team.
- Attend events and conferences to network and find leads.
- As our first sales person, you’ll help build out our sales function over time. You are not going to be a cog in a machine just copying and pasting messaging that is given to you day in and day out.
- This is primarily a BDR role to start, with the opportunity to take on AE or BDR team lead responsibilities. There are lots of opportunities to grow depending on interest and capabilities.
Type of person we’re looking for
- You are a fanatical prospector - you are consistent and persistent. You will find creative ways to outreach to prospects.
- You are an excellent communicator (written and verbal) and an even better listener.
- You have a thick skin, can take lots of rejection, and are determined to make quota no matter what. You are not easily dejected.
- You have deep customer empathy and are a great listener - can balance between listening to customer pain points and know when Artie can or cannot help them.
- You are metrics driven - understands pipeline efficiency/conversion rates.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of BDR experience at an early stage SaaS startup and generated your own pipeline.
- Experience with mid-market and enterprise B2B sales.
Comp
Base: $60-70k base, $90-100K OTE
Commission: uncapped, 2x accelerated commission after OTE is reached
