As Finance Operations Specialist at NextPay, your focus will be on executing, analyzing, and optimizing the flow of money by directly supporting the platform’s daily business operations. You will be using tools to analyze data in order to investigate ledger-related issues, ensure that transactions in the system are efficient, establish financial reconciliation, initiate and demonstrate processes, and determine the optimal float by simulating the cash flow. Every day will have its own unique set of tasks and problems to solve.

What you gotta do

  • Own and maintain the internal ledger system that keeps track of all customer accounts
  • Facilitate day-to-day finance operations tasks such as reviewing reports, resolving ledger-related customer inquiries and requests, and reconciling transactions
  • Ensure that all transactions are properly executed and accounted for in the system
  • Manage float throughout various banks with the objective of optimizing funds
  • Understand the banking system in order to enable smooth inter-bank transactions
  • Find ways to improve the current team’s processes
  • Work with engineers in order to build out tools to automate processes
  • Create reports for day-to-day operations, reconciliation, and other analyses using internal tools
  • Assist with company strategy by simulating scenarios dependent on pricing, partnerships, and new initiatives

Our ideal candidate has

  • Minimum 2-3+ years of experience in related roles and background (e.g. Financial Analysis, Accounting, Banking Operations, etc.)
  • A stable internet connection and can function well remotely and independently
  • Strong English/Filipino communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Is phenomenal with spreadsheets and other means of data handling and analysis
  • A “Growth Mindset”; an eagerness to learn, give and receive constructive feedback at a fast-paced environment, and is not shy to ask questions or try new things out.
  • A detailed, organized, proactive, resourceful, and collaborative work ethic
  • A commitment to both personal and professional development
