As an industry pioneer, Obie is looking to expand its brand presence by leveraging in-person live events. This includes industry trade shows, educational conferences, and local gatherings. As Events Marketing Manager, you’ll help develop strategy, detail plans, ensure logistical needs are met, and lead execution for the entire Obie event marketing program. You’ll work closely with sales, partnerships, and marketing, and report into the Head of Marketing. With this role, you can expect to travel several times a year, giving you the chance to represent the Obie brand in person while interacting directly with prospective business partners and customers.
What You'll Do:
- Research and maintain detailed records of all relevant industry invents and in-person branding opportunities
- Oversee the care of, shipping, maintenance, and creation of all booth materials
- Work cross-functionally to uncover opportunities, including leading discovery to determine which events to attend and shaping on-site strategy
- Maintain detailed budget, tracking all expenses related to events marketing, advertising, and sponsorships
- Identify, scope, and solve problems as their arise, including finding lost packages, assisting with travel schedules, etc
- Measure and report results from events, evaluate the effectiveness of strategies, and prepare suggestions to improve event marketing efforts moving forward
- Create, document, and distribute standard operating procedures to improve efficiency
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years experience in marketing event management specifically for a B2B or SaaS company
- 1+ years experience as team lead or channel manager
- 1+ years working at a high-growth tech startup
- Knowledge of systems and processes to manage multiple events logistics, including shipping goods and banners, booking travel, and tracking expenses
- Excellent project management skills, leveraging projects using tools such as Asana, Monday, Airtable, and/or Notion
- Good coaching and training skills, specifically in working exhibit booths and customer engagement
- Proven ability to manage many projects with, multiple stakeholders, and deadlines
- Experience working cross-functionally leading projects from start to finish, keeping track of deadlines, and communicating updates and reports
Nice to Have:
- 2 years experience working in proptech and/or insurtech
- 2 years experience working in real estate, real estate investment, or property management
