The Role:
The primary role is to manage the editorial strategy related to writing and editing. He or she is also in charge of content production, which includes the development, editing, management, quality control, and implementation while coordinating with various professionals and several divisions.
What you'll be doing:
- Strategize and develop strategic editorial materials, not limited to articles, press releases, newsletters, content development, speeches, annual reports and etc. He/She also supervises and oversees editorial production, from idea generation to publication. Include editing all content before publication to ensure written materials provide the most impact or views.
- Manage our editorial calendar to ensure timely publication
- Co-facilitate discovery sessions with clients to understand their goals, guidelines, and resources related to their editorial efforts.
- Edit original content, project manage content production.
- Track and report the status of each piece of content in production
- Work closely with PR Associates/Consultants/Managers to obtain necessary editorial materials
- Proactively monitor the performance of PR teammates' editorial materials and concisely communicate what’s working and what’s not with appropriate team members across Editorial and the Client Services team.
- Review the ongoing curation work of partners and freelancers.
- Ongoing counsel & ensure pitches and content are on-brand.
- Create and educate internal and external stakeholders on editorial strategies that align with overall clients' marketing efforts.
- Follow industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics.
- Effectively communicate recommendations to clients on optimizing their editorial strategy.
- Facilitate training for PR teammates on editorial best practices.
What you'll need:
- Minimum 6 years of experience editing B2B and B2C focused content.
- Experience/industry expertise as an editor, journalist, content strategist, content manager in business and technology are pluses.
- Solid writing and editing skills in English. Multilingual candidates are welcomed.
- Experience in content or news ideation and production for either a news organization or a brand.
- Experience with creating and interpreting business reports.
- Understanding of tone and voice of brands.
- Ability to concisely communicate with internal and external stakeholders about complex data or client issues related to editorial.
- Strong analytical skill and research capability is a must.
- Familiarity with the digital marketing space will be an added advantage and enthusiasm for working with commercial brands.
- A passion for one or more of the following industries: technology, retail, or health care.
- Excellent in time management.
EDUCATION
- Degree or Diploma in Communications, Journalism, Marketing Communications, Business, Management, Information Technology, or any related field.
