About the Role: We are looking for a Director of Partnerships to develop and execute partnership programs, to establish relationships with Nonprofit Consultants, Foundations and Corporations, that will open new market opportunities and accelerate our hyper growth. The Director of Partnerships will have C-level visibility and will take the lead role in negotiating deals that will have transformative impacts on our company’s trajectory. The right individual for this role will have extensive experience in developing and managing multi-year (and at least 6 figures) partnerships.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years with proven achievements in Nonprofit management, nonprofit business development, nonprofit consulting, with a focus on strategic partnerships, business or corporate development
  • Experience using typical competitor’s software like Blackbaud (Raiser's Edge, eTapestry, Luminate, Convio, OneCause), Salesforce, Neon, Virtuous, Greater Giving, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Volgistics, Volunteer Hub, Cervis, CiviCore, Classy, Network for Good, etc.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute an account plan including goals, metrics, strategy, and implementation
  • Expertise in negotiating and executing contracts, balancing short term wins, long term upside opportunity, and risk
  • Significant experience in relationship-building, generating revenue growth, and identifying new opportunities for added value
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders internally and externally including product, marketing, and engineering teams
  • Enthusiastic team player with the ability to lead projects independently from conceptualization to completion
  • Has a superb work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills
  • English fluency is required

Responsibilities:

  • Develop partnership programs for Foundations, Corporations and Nonprofit Consultants
  • Cultivate, manage, and grow long-term partnerships generating at least $500k in annual revenue in the first year
  • Continually build relationships with Foundation and Corporate contacts, Nonprofit Consultants at all levels and functions, including senior leadership, to advance the partnership
  • Drive meetings and collaboration across Giveffect team and partners
  • Seek out innovative opportunities that will generate new revenue opportunities and added value for partnerships
  • Serve as primary contact for partners, coordinating across internal teams (Sales, Client Success, Communications, Marketing, Operations), to ensure programs are effectively executed and partners' objectives are fully satisfied
  • Negotiate partnerships terms and contracts in collaboration with key internal teams

We are looking for a good cultural fit. We work hard and expect very professional results, however, we have an informal tech startup culture. We communicate with each other most often via Slack, and blue jeans/comfortable attire is the day-to-day dress code. Of course, business casual when appropriate (like virtual meetings with clients or when attending, sponsoring, and exhibiting at conferences). We take our work very seriously, but with each other, we have an environment of casual conversation and humor when it is not about the work at hand.
