As the Director of Engineering for the Public Sector, you will guide a team responsible for building TRM for government customers. This includes bridging our SaaS offering with federated capabilities and cloud architectures, owning everything from the initial strategy and roadmap to implementation. A successful mission will enable TRM’s Public Sector customers to securely leverage TRM in regulated industries and also scale with maturity. As an engineering leader, you will be deeply involved in the technical details and ultimately champion your team to build a safer financial system for billions of people.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop a world-class team of distributed system engineers, providing cultural, technical, and hands-on leadership
- Take direct responsibility for the quality and delivery of the team's work, and manage the end-to-end availability and performance of critical services
- Drive work based on goals and measurable outcomes that are accountable to KPIs pertaining to reliability, resiliency, durability, and uptime
- Encourage best practices in design and usability, creating scalable engines with thorough documentation and knowledge sharing
- Resolve escalations arising from operations and work with various teams to solve production incidents through to resolution
- Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize the Public Sector roadmap objectives and identify upcoming opportunities and risks
Some of the traits we value:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying data-intensive applications in secure environments for Public Sector Customers
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaaS technologies.
- Strong programming skills in Python, and SQL with experience across the spectrum of data engineering and/or data operations.
- Successful track record building, leading, and mentoring a team of software engineers
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Candidates must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance or have an active clearance and may be required to complete a CI - Polygraph (either immediately or when required based on their last CI poly date)
