At Wasp, we are building the next generation of web development technology - a compiled, stack-agnostic DSL for implementing full-stack web-apps. Imagine Ruby on Rails as a language and not bound to the specific stack or architecture.
We are backed by Y Combinator’s and recently raised our seed round from several US & EU deep tech funds and early engineers from Facebook, Twitter, and Airbnb.
We are looking for the very first DevRel to join our team - bring Wasp into the hands of millions of developers and foster the helpful and welcoming community behind it!
TL;DR
-
your core metric: grow Wasp’s WAUs (Weekly Active Users)
- this is a very flexible role that can include anything from coding to writing tutorials to speaking at meetups - choose what fits your strengths the best!
-
work alongside experienced ex-Google and Palantir engineers and experience first-hand all aspects of building and growing a developer-first, deep-tech company
-
have a key role in creating our developer-first community, set foundations of our DevRel playbook, and scale the team as we progress
-
you are: a community builder with web dev experience who is passionate about their work and wants the impact and flexibility of working at a startup
Examples of things you could be doing (not all of them at once!)
- Help us maintain and improve all user-facing parts of Wasp - blog, documentation, GitHub repo
- Write articles & video tutorials, build examples using Wasp and other compatible libraries (e.g. sockets or UI frameworks), showcasing different use cases and integrations
- Together with us represent Wasp via social media (Twitter, Linkedin, ...) and help us design and execute a strategy to reach developers and get them to join the community
- You will engage with our Discord community, collaborate with and support our OSS contributors, and collect their feedback together with founders and engineers
- You will set up our initial SEO strategy (we don’t expect you to be an expert, just willing to learn the basics)
- You will help run our email newsletter and also cover our outbound marketing - reaching out to bloggers/YouTubers/podcasts/code schools to cover Wasp and share our content
- You will design and oversee our funnel together with Matija (CEO) and decide on improvements and experiments to run
-
And the most important one: You will help us prioritize all the responsibilities from above and decide when and how much we should all focus on each of them. When the time comes, we’ll start scaling the team together.
