About us
Lightmeter provides the bridge from zero to $1m annual recurring revenue for B2B startups. We are SendGrid for Salespeople - getting sales emails delivered reliably and at scale into email inboxes. Our last company, phpList, sent 20 billion emails monthly on behalf of 80,000 customers. B2B sales influencers and agencies love us. We use our own service for driving sales and driving our go to market strategy.
About the role
You'll work on a variety of design tasks to suit your skills and interests, and the changing needs of the company. We're a commercially-driven organisation in the sales-tech space, serving extremely demanding customers (top performing B2B startups), and selling to hyper-intelligent entrepreneur-Founders. Our product includes an analytics dashboard and self-service account management portal, both of which are web-based. We also produce considerable branded content in different digital mediums as part of the sales support and marketing functions. Design is critical to all these components and more.
Must-have skills
- Fluent English written and verbal communication skills
- Located in Berlin for on-site work
- Ability to quickly iterate (not increment) through rough drafts and gather feedback to align requirements
- The ability to extract through astute questioning the needs of the project needs
- The desire and resulting satisfaction of providing designs that fit those requirements
- Availability at least 6 hours per week
- Excited by the power commercial growth
- Strong organisational skills
- Interest in entrepreneurship
Design skills
- Marketing design skills including ability to apply and extend brand guidelines to:
- company website
- social media profiles
- sales materials (eg pdf price quotations etc)
- email signatures
- simple video clips (eg product demos and feature explanations)
- UI and UX design skills including the ability to design:
- simple web application interface (eg customer account self-management portal)
- an analytics dashboard UI with metrics relating to sales performance
- Support skills which contribute to the quality of the above skills, including:
- choosing-brand compliant stock photography, illustrations, sounds, and geometric elements
- applying and extending brand colour palette and fonts
- quickly providing wireframe UIs for new feature and product concepts
- assessing and providing fast visual feedback on prototype UIs from engineers
- understanding and extending information architecture during the UI prototying process
- awareness of usability best practices especially concerning colour, and common user input devices
Nice-to-have skills
- Ability to product clickable UI prototypes for quick testing cross-platform
- Sufficient HTML & CSS skills to tweak and improve prototype web interfaces directly
- Illustration skills sufficient to produce original brand graphics
- Familiarity with GitHub or GitLab for monitoring technical progress of related products
- Experience working within a agile work environment utilising sprints
