StudyStream is a video platform that allows students to be more productive while studying. StudyStream has seen over 4 million unique users and 16 million study hours over the last 4 months, with 30,000 daily active users spending on average 90 minutes per day on the platform. Students from around the world love us. How do we know? #StudyStream has grown entirely organically to over 290 million views on TikTok over the last six months. We also currently host the largest study Discord server (at 280k students) which also grew entirely organically. We've just closed our seed round so are well-funded and growing quickly!

About the role
You are passionate about hard problems. You will be our lead data scientist and you will work closely with the founders. Your main aim is to mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
About you
- Minimum 1 year of work experience (we can be flexible here)
- Experience running cohorted retention analyses across a broad range of variables (regardless of tool used)
- Experience developing A/B testing frameworks and testing model quality
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
- Experience assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
- Ideally: experience using Metabase and Mixpanel (or evidence of ability to learn quickly)
- Ideally: experience using statistical computer languages (SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
