Creative Productions Lead

You will build and lead Protocol Labs Services’ creative productions team, supporting internal and external collaborators with design, video, events, swag creation, and more.

Protocol Labs is a research and development laboratory that has built and scaled multiple projects that have made great contributions to the web3 ecosystem. To fuel our next phase of growth, we’ve created a team—PL Services—to provide services and capabilities that our projects and the broader ecosystem can leverage, including design, video, events, operations, content, IT, and more. 

As the Creative Production Lead for PL Services, you will support internal and external collaborators by providing creative productions as a service. This includes brand, design, virtual and in-person events, video, and swag, to clearly communicate our brand positioning and value proposition. Your work will span a wide range of complexity and variety, ranging from high volume requests from internal and external collaborators (100s of requests each month), to bespoke video, event, or branding projects lasting multiple months. This is a high impact role with a critical impact on PL Services and our collaborators across the ecosystem.

As Creative Operations Lead at Protocol Labs, you will…

• Partner with internal and external collaborators to understand their creative needs, then develop and document clear service offerings to deliver against those needs.
• Develop lasting, ongoing relationships with internal and external collaborators, delivering creative productions that inspire and grow the web3 and Filecoin/IPFS ecosystem.
• Gather requirements and deliver creative assets and productions that excite and inspire our ecosystem, including developers, miners, storage clients, and more.
• Build repeatable, scalable processes and systems to manage requests and productions at high complexity and volume
• Develop a network of internal and external talent to flexibly and reliably deliver on collaborator requirements. 
• Manage our creative production budget, ensuring that we receive a strong return on our investment. 

You may be a fit for this role if you...

• Have 10+ years of experience in managing high performance creative teams, either in the agency or in-house setting. 
• Have deep experience coordinating work across teams at large scale, running a creative production pipeline to reliably deliver results that delight and satisfy customers.
• Have demonstrated experience managing complex creative projects from pre-production to delivery, and are able to reliably deliver to specification, on-time and within budget.
• Are able to quickly grasp technical concepts and make them easily understood across a variety of mediums (text, images, video, events, etc.). 
• Have demonstrated experience managing in-house and external creative talent across a wide variety of mediums and project types. 
• Are an excellent communicator and an inspiring storyteller.
• Pride yourself in being a self-starter, thriving even without much direction.
• A rigorous, process-driven work style backed by an ability to communicate effectively.
• Handle both complexity and ambiguity well.
