ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: Global Compensation Director
Job Purpose:
- To provide in-region subject matter expertise, analytics, and consulting services to support internal functional, regional and local stakeholders and to execute allocated global projects and cyclical global compensation programmes and strategies.
- The post holder will be responsible for understanding and working through all compensation matters and processes across the region. In addition, the post holder will be a key member of the Global Compensation team, assuming responsibility for one or more global programmes.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Provides subject matter expertise, research, and analysis with a high level of internal consulting support to Human Resources and line management on a variety of compensation issues related to the allocated location, function, cyclical compensation programmes, and global projects.
- Provides education and guidance on compensation issues that allow management to effectively attract, retain and reward their employees in line with the AVEVA pay-for-performance philosophy.
- Assists in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programmes and projects and provide Reward focused support for non-compensation processes and projects.
- Ensures alignment of regional compensation programs with AVEVA compensation philosophy, financial goals, and compliance with government regulations and in-country statutory bodies (such as Unions and Works Councils), to measure the effectiveness of programs and policies and understand the landscape for further improvement and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the wider People Team to support the data integrity of the HR and payroll information systems.
- Working with the Compensation Director and Compensation team to ensure timely and efficient management of all compensation programmes whilst actively seeking out new opportunities to enhance our employee compensation initiatives to make AVEVA an employer of choice.
Important Working Relationships:
It is important that the Compensation Manager is comfortable interacting with employees of all levels and positions throughout the company. As a multi-national company, the post-holder requires sensitivity to other perspectives and cultures.
The role reports to the Global Compensation Director. Close working relationships with the compensation team, the wider Reward CoE and Global Human Resources Team, particularly Regional COE leads and Functional HRBPs, is essential to provide a consistent and joined-up approach to all Reward activities.
Essential Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant work experience within a Reward and/or HR field
- Sound knowledge of industry-leading compensation or reward best practice
- Experience in operating in a regional or global role
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within the region and take initiative while also being an effective team member
- Understanding of effective business operations and strategy and demonstrated ability to link pay and performance with the goals of AVEVA
- Ability to proactively identify complex problems and needs and develop solutions to resolve them
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships; interface and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
- Strong numeracy, analytical and interpretation skills; with an emphasis on advanced level Excel skills
- Strong consulting, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
