About This Opportunity
- This position is responsible for handling clinical-related issues, internal and external, for Align Technology in Japan. Responsibilities fall in four broad categories but may not be limited to:
- Training of customers (doctors) and/or speaking in clinical settings on behalf of the company,
- Clinical Support to customers and/or oversight of clinical support to customers,
- Contributor or review of clinical content of doctor education/marketing materials and internal clinical education materials.
In this role, you will…
- Providing clinical support to orthodontists and general dentists in Japan in the areas of case evaluation, ClinCheck reviews as well as support relating to clinical troubleshooting, mid-course correction, and refinements.
- Assisting with the creation of presentations and other documentation for sales and marketing materials from a clinical perspective as well as clinical education/support materials, specifically case books and publications.
- Performing English-to-Japanese/Japanese-to-English translations relating to prescription form comments, ClinCheck modification comments as well as other materials such as marketing collaterals with a clinical focus.
- Investigating and analysis of clinical-related customer inquiries, complaints, and product safety.
- Being alert to trends in requests and issues reported by customers and reporting and resolving such trends and issues to further improve/enhance product and customer service. Researching information to answer inquiries from customers and share learning with departmental peers and management
- Assist and support in writing and developing training materials and clinical support protocols.
- Assisting, supporting, and taking ownership in the preparation and successful execution of clinical events to be held by the Company including but not limited to training courses, workshops, study clubs, and symposiums for the purpose of clinical education for providers and related parties.
- Assisting and supporting in tasks relating to clinical marketing collaterals and other clinical-focused communication materials.
- Working cooperatively with team members to ensure that the appropriate input based on sufficient clinical knowledge and experience is provided in fulfilling the responsibilities above.
- Meeting departmental standards for personal and team performance metrics including, but not limited to, contact volume handled turnaround time, and quality.
- Assisting in and participating in ad hoc, special projects and/or training events when requested.
- Follow internal and external Company compliance guidelines and standard rules of conduct. Maintain compliance to regulatory and statutory laws of Japan and other relevant overseas laws and statutes.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- University degree or equivalent.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and responsibilities.
- Expert/Native level in Japanese is a must.
- Pre-Intermediate level in English (for internal email communication, conference calls, training, and presentations).
WORK SCHEDULE / HOURS
The normal work hours and days assigned to this position are: Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 5:45 pm.
