Chief Technology Officer

Objectives of the role

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead our digital health vertical. This role requires a blend of expertise in mental health, digital health tools development, and health wearables. The chosen candidate will lead the creation and implementation of digital health applications to complement our Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) device, facilitating a more integrated treatment approach for depression.

We are looking for a CTO to our CEO, someone autonomous and independent that has the experience to create and lead this new digital health vertical, without too much supervision.

The ideal candidate should be capable of clearly articulating their strategy in simple terms to the CEO and CSO team, who have greater expertise in medical hardware development rather than software. “Trust me bro” is not an effective communication strategy.

The perfect candidate will blend strategic thinking with hands-on product development skills, capable of leading product ideation while also engaging directly in the product creation.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the technology strategy for the digital health vertical, ensuring alignment with our core mission and business objectives.
• Strategic Partnerships and Integration: Identify and forge partnerships with other digital tools companies, integrating their solutions into our system through adept use of APIs, enhancing our digital health offerings and user experience.
• Product Development: Oversee and take part in the product development in digital health applications for both healthcare providers and patients.
• Innovation in Wearables: Integrate health wearable technologies into our digital health solutions, leveraging data analytics to improve treatment outcomes.
• Team Building: Assemble and manage a high-performing team of engineers, designers, and health tech professionals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with medical professionals, patients, and internal teams to identify needs and opportunities for digital health solutions.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure all digital health products comply with relevant health regulations and standards, maintaining the highest level of data privacy and security.

Qualifications

• Experience: Significant experience in digital health, mental health, and health wearable technologies, with a proven track record of leading successful tech initiatives in these areas.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of app development, digital health platforms, and wearable technology integration via APIs.
• Innovation Mindset: A forward-thinker with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex health challenges.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical teams, healthcare professionals, and patients. We are looking for a person who likes to engage with other internal and external stakeholders, and not a person that is only comfortable behind a screen.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
