Distro (YC S24) is hiring a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founder and CEO on a variety of ongoing and ad-hoc business-critical tasks and projects as we scale the business post-batch and post-Seed.
About you
- Prior startup experience in a Chief of Staff or Operations role.
- At least 3+ years of full-time post-college professional experience.
- “Get it done” ownership mentality.
- Proactively looks for ways to move the business forward.
- Willingness to work in-person at our Palo Alto headquarters.
- Excellent communication and writing skills
Role Responsibilities
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the CEO to set and drive immediate growth priorities.
• Operational Efficiency: Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable processes.
• Investor Communications: Prepare materials and coordinate board updates for fundraising.
• Project Leadership: Lead high-priority initiatives across agile teams.
• Performance Metrics: Build dashboards + reports to track key seed-stage KPIs.
• Talent & Culture: Own recruiting pipeline to attract, onboard, and retain talent.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the central liaison for internal and external communications.
• Facilities & Events: Manage the office + on/offsite team events.
Location: Palo Alto, CA
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
