Title: Carrier Analyst
Shift: CST Hours (US Shift)
Location: Remote - India
Role Description:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Carrier Analyst to further support our transportation expansion. Our fulfillment centers process thousands of packages per day for small and medium sized merchants, and transporting those packages is a critical capability for the company. This role will be responsible for supporting the analytic needs for our domestic and global transportation partners. This person must be able to extract, transform and load data (ETL), while performing the necessary analysis to support decision making within the Transportation organization. Leveraging prior experience, the analyst must be able to source necessary data, conduct impactful analysis, visualize outputs, and develop insights.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze rate cards to identify trends and help onboard new carriers.
- Work closely with pricing analysts and operation teams to assess carrier pricing issues.
- Review, validate and cross-compare pricing agreements and surcharges across carriers.
- Communicate regularly with multiple departments, both internal and external on findings.
- Update system with new carriers and adjust ship option routing guide as needed.
- Assist in developing new metrics, generating metrics data for the weekly reviews and develop visualizations of metrics.
- Work independently to identify new areas of opportunity based on cost savings.
- Other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 2-3 years’ broad experience in Transportation, working in parcel transportation; US parcel networks preferred.
- Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports.
- Experience using SQL, Power BI, Python or scripting language, ETL and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
- Solid excel background with expertise in pivot tables.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Experience communicating analytical outcomes to both business and technical teams.
- Hard working with a focus on learning, detail oriented, and passionate about helping small businesses compete online.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible hours, with an ideal shift from 8am-5pm CST.
