About the Role

Swayable is searching for a Business Development Representative to join our Marketing team. This is a key role responsible for developing new pipeline opportunities to grow our SaaS business. You will be engaging with senior leaders at major global brands and agencies to help them reach and inspire their ideal audiences. 

Swayable is a fast-growing, cloud analytics product that measures public opinion and the impact of messages and advertising content on it. Its 30-person team is backed by top technology and social impact investors, including Y Combinator. Founded in 2018 by two physics PhDs, it is led by the former Executive Director for Digital Strategy at the New York Times. Clients include major consumer-facing brands (Airbnb, Square, Paramount Pictures, Amazon), researchers (MIT, Yale, Stanford) and mission-aligned advocacy campaigns (including multiple Democratic Presidential candidates).

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify the key decision-makers and champions in target organizations; create tailored strategies to position Swayable as a solution to their biggest marketing and messaging challenges
  • Build relationships with decision-makers to generate high-quality sales opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to align on outreach strategy 
  • Track prospect information, touch points, and opportunities via CRM to empower the Marketing and Sales teams
  • Identify key prospect questions, objections, and pain points, and translate them into useful intelligence for the Marketing and Sales teams

Your Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • 1-3 years of proven success growing pipeline opportunities at a SaaS startup company 
  • Intellectually curious, motivated, excited to be coached by experts, and driven by a passion to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you are an expert at persuasion and a great storyteller
  • Active listener who identifies and handles objections with finesse; you love working the phones
  • Organized, system-oriented, and meticulous 
  • Experience in data platforms or analytics markets a plus
  • Interest in advocacy a plus
