About the Team:
- The engineering platform team is a remote-first team building the web platforms, data infrastructure, and developer APIs that shape how people understand and handle billions of dollars of insurance risk

On the engineering team, you will:
- Design and build the APIs and services for our enterprise customer portal and institutional investor platform
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver the data they need to the frontend
- Research and implement caching strategies that allow your APIs to effectively support highly dynamic user interactions
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to understand how their data is best stored and delivered to the appropriate backend service
- Directly influence and introduce new engineering standards, tooling, and processes that help the team scale
- Work closely with product to understand Ledger's roadmap and implement plan to execute and deliver
About you:
Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
- ~1+ years of experience in a software engineering role
- Experience with a few of the following: Python, Django/DRF, Typescript, Node, Postgres, Docker, Git, Redis, memcached
- Enjoy the process and craft of designing and writing quality code
- Have experience building web applications with great user experience and attention to details
- Take pride and responsibility in delivering features or applications from end to end
- Give and receive meaningful and constructive feedback with your team
- Think holistically about systems and services and how the play a role in the bigger picture
- Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Are flexible and open minded when it comes to evolving processes and requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration
- Are a self-starter and able to work with minimal help from your teammates

- AWS or Google Cloud
