💡 What we need your help with: The Product Engineering team at Sqreen is currently growing. We are looking to hire an experienced Backend Engineer to design and build our Security Signal Platform. Our platform analyses billions of security signals sent by our micro agents, detecting threats, and allowing our customers' applications to react in near real-time.

The ideal candidate for this role will have played a key role in designing and implementing data platforms, handling high volumes of data in near real time.

This role will report directly to Max, one of our Engineering Managers, and can be based in our Paris office or remote across Europe (we currently have engineers in 4 cities in France with others in Lisbon, London, and Edinburgh for example!)

💻 Day-to-day you'll: Collaborate with the platform team to:

Guarantee the availability, latency, performance, and efficiency of our distributed platform Optimize the end to end latency of our data processing Validate the scalability of our platform (we are growing both in terms of data volumes and engineers) Ensure the cost efficiency of our platform (AWS) Refine our data model to prevent inconsistencies and loss Iterate on the architecture of our platform to efficiently share services across various squads Contribute to and improve our engineering standards, tooling, and processes

👉 About You:

Low ego and high emotional intelligence (EQ) Excellent communication skills (we work in English in a distributed and international context) Experience and love for building data intensive applications Excited to work in a fast, high growth startup environment Are familiar with AWS data offering (SQS, Kinesis, Athena, etc.) (bonus) Worked in a Python environment (bonus) While previous experience in application security is not required, you have a strong interest in it
