Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Back End Engineer to join our multi-talented and diverse product development team. This position will report to the Head of Engineering to collaborate and assist our senior developers in maintaining and deploying our systems. While being on-site is preferred, we are also open to a talent who can work remotely with the team, which is made up of other React front-end developers, back-end engineers, a program manager, product managers, a QA professional, and designers.

By centralizing services, current urgent and medical care are built on outdated access and communication models. Providers lose the fundamental aspect of health: to reduce the total impact to the Patient. With the aging population, Speedoc built a complete end-to-end system for doctors and patients, so that house call doctor services can be provided with ease to people in the community to address and improved access to technology.
With Speedoc's emphasis on cost-effectiveness and modern medical devices, home medical services need not be limited to only immobile or bed-bound patients but to everyday people who may require GP or urgent care services.
Who are you?
You are a back-end developer familiar with a number of programming languages and more than 3 years of software development experience -- part of which is working with Node.js. You also have working experience in an AWS environment, maintaining and enhancing API systems and with testing frameworks, and on top of all these, strong experience in Git version control, Agile, and Scrum methodology/framework. You can solve problems as they occur and is a person who is thrilled when you are able to do so. Conversing and writing in English is not an issue for you, and you are used to being part of a diverse team where English is the main language of communication.
You are a Backend Developer Node.js, reporting to the Head of Engineering this person you collaborate with and assist our senior Backend developer in maintaining and deploying our systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance existing source code and APIs.
• Maintain and deploy production pipelines using AWS and automated deployment techniques.
• Develop functionality, test, deliver, and support the functionality post-delivery.
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Skills & Experience Required
• 5+ years of experience with backend development and APIs
• 5+ years of experience working with NodeJS
• 5+ years of experience working with MongoDB
• Experience working with React and REACT Native
• Experience working with AWS environment
• Experience consuming an array of web services: JSON or XML
• Experience maintaining and enhancing API system
• Experience with testing frameworks
• Experience with Git version control
• Experience working remotely & as part of a distributed engineering team
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum framework/methodology
• Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
