We are a fast-growing Bay Area-based startup backed by leading investors like Menlo Ventures, Accel and Y-Combinator. We create AI and ML-powered software for the finance and lending industries, focused on repayment and debt recovery. We work to improve conversations between call center agents and customers and provide actionable insights. Our products use AI to create next-generation speech analytics that support real-time agent guidance, automated notes after conversations, and call analysis for quality assurance and compliance.

The team has deep technical talent today and we believe there is an opportunity to build an iconic vertical software business that will fundamentally impact how the multi-trillion-dollar debt industry is managed. Debt has such a massive impact on consumers and prior to Prodigal, the industry was saddled with painful, low value manual workflows, and poor customer experience- our mission is to humanize the debt repayment process through automation and data.

This is not a traditional HR Associate role. In this position, you will be expected to solve problems to build a high-performing team. This role will have a good mix of operations and strategy, and you will have the opportunity to quickly grow into a leader in the People’s Function. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate who is passionate about people, culture, and creating an exceptional experience for every team-member in the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist closely in developing an end-to-end team-member lifecycle in the company
  • Support present recruitment efforts - maintaining relationships with third-party recruiters, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews
  • Come up with innovative solutions to hiring and retention of team-members
  • Develop and implement practices/workflows/processes to further improve employee engagement
  • Assist in building real-time and longer-term performance management processes and systems 
  • Work on ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from tier-1 institutions such as St. Xaviers College Mumbai, Delhi University (in particular SRCC, LSR, St. Stephens), Christ College Bangalore and so on
  • Bring in strong problem-solving abilities with a penchant for bringing in solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Passionate about people and culture, with an interest in building strong workplace communities
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and take initiative.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
