💪What you'll be doing:
We’re looking for a Jill of all trades who is comfortable building things from the ground up, and has experience building a team. Jupe's long term competitiveness rests on being not only a beautiful and functional piece of hardware, but also in its proprietary software that enables us to offer 'hospitality as a service' - the ability for any landowner to spin up a fully bookable hotel in a day. You'll play a foundational role in developing this software, working with our in-house product team and advisors who are hospitality experts to disrupt the industry.
🪐Responsibilities:
Our goal is to employ an API-first approach to allow for development of single-page applications, native mobile applications and partner integrations. You will be responsible for making all the decisions on the language(s), tools and cloud hosting environments we utilize. Below is the list of qualifications we are looking for in the ideal candidate.
🥧Basic Qualifications (got to have these):
Bachelor's degree, or in place of degree, 4+ years of equivalent experience
5+ years experience working in agile development environment
5+ years experience implementing CI/CD processes
5+ years experience implementing unit test frameworks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Thrive working in a strong remote team culture
💪Preferred Skills and Experience (big plus if you have these):
Portfolio of multiple web applications still in production
5+ years experience building back end web applications with platforms/frameworks/tools like Ruby on Rails, Django, Node, Bower, gulp, NPM or equivalent
5+ years experience building front-end applications with JavaScript Frameworks like jQuery, Angular, React and/or Vue
Experience building native iOS and Android applications
Experience building eCommerce applications
Experience building SaaS applications
Experience with IOT and IOT integration
Early-stage startup experience working with a small team
