About the Role
We’re looking for a deeply experienced Android engineer to own our Android SDK. You will create cutting edge technology that improves the lives of other developers by gathering and processing tens of billions of data points daily from 100M+ devices. Our engineers have unique opportunities to define the technical architecture, drive the product vision, and help expand the mobile team. What You’ll Do
- Own the overall architecture and performance of our Android SDK and Gradle plugin
- Push the envelope by researching and implementing features that help fellow developers
- Adopt the latest Android APIs, languages, and features
- Coach and collaborate directly with our amazing customers
- Work with product, Customer Success, and sales to share technology and product decisions
- Implement and improve engineering best practices for a rapidly growing code base that is relied upon by the world’s top mobile companies
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Java
- Deep understanding of Android architecture and nuances
- Experience with unit testing, performance optimization, and functional testing methodologies
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Gathering is integral to our culture for collaboration and connection. We want to ensure that all of our new hires have the ability to travel and meet other team members. We estimate the travel for any given role to be a couple of days every month or two. In order to gather, new hires must be able to meet our COVID vaccination requirement as we continue to help our team limit risk.
