We are looking for someone to lead our Accounts team at VetRec.

This is a remote position with an in-person option in South Florida at our new Ft. Lauderdale/Aventura office

Quick summary:

Onboarding, implementing, and managing the relationship of our customers is paramount to our success. It is one thing to manage a couple of accounts but it is another to be in charge of the management of thousands of veterinary clinics, enterprise customers, mid-market groups, and more.

We need a strong leader capable of leading a team that manages multiple accounts at the same time, catering to our customer’s needs, and knowing when to prioritize specific actions to delight our customers.

What will you be doing:

  • Lead a team of account managers and implementation specialists in ensuring everyone is doing their best work.
  • Obsess over data. We are data-driven company and as a leader in the team, you must understand the details of our accounts when it comes to retention, usage, satisfaction, opportunities, feedback, and more.
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO in crafting the overall strategy for how accounts are managed within the company. Everything from site visits, how to get wider adoption, what does implementation success look like, and more.
  • Managing relationships with existing accounts. While being a leader and experience with managing people is a requirement, we expect this person to also get into the weeds and help manage several key accounts, being “on the ground” to be extremely and directly informed on what works and what doesn’t.
  • Maintains order in our CRM. Ensuring key details, follow ups, health of the account, and more are well recorded in our CRM. 
  • Travel to veterinary clinics and industry conferences. When needed, this person will visit hospitals in person and attend events to strengthen relationships and represent VetRec.

While there is not a specific time commitment as project-based outcomes > time-based ones, there is a sense of urgency to iterate and deliver constantly.

Specifically for this role:

  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience, including managing and developing account managers and/or implementation teams.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Client Services, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of maintaining relationship with accounts (account management). Maximizing satisfaction, client engagement, and retention.
  • Proven experience working in a SaaS, B2B services, or tech-enabled services environment.
  • Demonstrated success in owning KPIs such as retention, expansion, NPS/CSAT, onboarding completion, and team performance.
  • Experience managing complex accounts, multi-stakeholder relationships, and executive-level client conversations.
  • Experience using tools like Metabase, Explo, PowerBI, or other data-visualization and analytics tools. Obsessing over data and extremely analytical.
    • This will be a core competency in the interview process as it is a core quality we look in leaders.
  • Must be exceptional at follow‑up and coordination to strengthen partnerships, expand adoption, and drive account growth.
  • Is an excellent communicator and approachable person. 
  • Comfortable working with a modern startup stack, from CRMs and analytics dashboards to Excel, support messaging, planning tools, and more. 
  • Experience operating and excelling in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience in working at a startup or small company is a plus.
  • Experience being an ex-founder is a big plus.
  • Experience in the Veterinary Medicine industry is a big plus

Compensation

  • The base salary for this position is $110,000-$130,000
