Seam builds an API for controlling IoT devices, such as door locks, thermostats, sensors, cameras, and more. Software developers and businesses then use Seam’s API to connect devices with their applications and orchestrate their use. This lets them unlock doors for Airbnb guests or FedEx drivers, set thermostat temperatures to save energy and measure carbon emissions, and more.

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team and drive our business growth. As the first Account Executive on the team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing and growing existing accounts, and building long-term relationships with clients. In this role, you will be working directly with our CEO and one of our advisors/investors, in order to convince and onboard some of our most technical customers. This role will require keeping tabs on multiple opportunities, preparing presentation material, navigating organizations, and setting up our operation team for building onboarding success.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth for Seam’s API.
- Help existing clients expand their use.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of the market, identify new strategic business opportunities, and work with product/engineering teams to develop custom IoT solutions that meet the client's needs.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills; consultative sales approach with a product-centric mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical solutions and articulate the value proposition to clients.
- Excited to get into the technical details, understand how Seam works and what sets it apart from competitors from a technical standpoint.
- Eagerness to work in a high-growth environment and to help build processes and tools as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working at growth stage private companies.
- Proficiency in technical products and APIs.
