The Role

We're looking for a cross between a Chief Recruiter of Interesting People and a French Salon Host.

Your job is to find the coolest founders in San Francisco and bring them together. We have a mansion in Seacliff by Baker Beach — think weekly breakfast clubs, intimate dinners, and events that feel nothing like a networking happy hour.

We're building a "third place" that feels like home for creators and builders. A modern-day Masonic Lodge crossed with a peer-to-peer version of Y Combinator. A place where talented people surround each other and help each other reach their potential.

The crux of the role is curating good humans and inviting them to events that forge real bonds between them.

Location & Culture

We're strong believers in an in-person culture. Our HQ is in San Francisco — we have two offices, one in the Mission and one in Seacliff with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

We're a small team of ~30 that hires carefully. In this new AI world, one star can outcompete 10 average people. We'd rather stay lean, move fast, and spend our time building — not navigating big-company bureaucracy.

We're tight-knit enough to spend 10 days on a train together without killing each other. Four times over the years, we've all taken the Amtrak coast to coast, stopping in 12 cities. We're a team of doers and thinkers who are insatiably curious — not just about work, but about kickboxing, mountaineering, chess, and everything in between.

Things You Could Be Doing

• Seek out interesting people.

  Who we invite to our gatherings will make or break it. You'll seek out genuine people with potential to invite.

• Run the breakfast club.

  Every week, we host a breakfast for builders and makers at our Seacliff mansion. You'll curate the guest list, set the vibe, and make sure the conversations are worth waking up for.

• Host intimate dinners.

  Offering to feed people is a great way to get to know nearly anyone. You'll plan and host dinners that bring together founders, investors, and interesting humans who might not otherwise cross paths.

• Plan events that aren't boring.

  We have 25,000 sqft of event space. We're not looking for normal networking stuff. Think: Masquerade Ball, Dark Academia Party, S'more Club, Startup Deathmatch Laser Tag, Reading Club. Use your creativity.

• Be the connective tissue.

  You're the person who introduces the founder to her future co-founder over breakfast. Or connects the designer to the startup that needs them. Maybe they'll start a company. Maybe they'll do an art project together. Maybe they'll get married.

Requirements

• Good taste in humans

  You can spot good humans with potential and ambition. You don't need credentials to judge them and you're allergic to status-seeking BS artists.

• Insatiably curious

  You love learning for learning's sake. You're curious about people, their dreams, and what excites them. Are you the kind of person who'd be fascinated by the economics of ostrich farms? We're your people.

• Naturally likable

  You have a talent for making people feel at ease. You bring out the best in those around you. When you're around, people smile more often.

• Bridge to different worlds

  The world is more than just tech. You also enjoy talking to artists, writers, designers, and other creators.

• You don't care much about status

  You could probably be a seed-stage VC if you wanted. But chasing allocations and playing SF status games doesn't excite you nearly as much as making a real difference in people's lives.

• Natural matchmaker

  You enjoy connecting people who can help each other. You remember what someone mentioned three dinners ago and know exactly who they should meet next.
