Role Overview

As a Founding Deployment Strategist, you’ll be part of Plume’s core team. Shaping both the company and the platform. You’ll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and the real world. You’ll embed with customers, dissect their workflows, spot hidden inefficiencies, and turn insights into product improvements, data integrations, and features that move the needle. Your mission: make Plume absolutely indispensable.

You’ll own a portfolio of customers end-to-end: driving adoption, shaping usage patterns, training new users, shipping product changes, and identifying expansion opportunities. You’ll be the feedback loop that accelerates the roadmap and scales our impact.

What You’ll Do

• Observe and analyze customer workflows to identify where Plume can deliver value
• Translate insights into product requirements, UX improvements, and data requests
• Build and ship product changes (front-end/back-end/data pipelines) when required
• Drive engagement and train new users across multiple teams
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, data, and sales
• Own renewals, satisfaction, and expansion across geos or asset class
• Build repeatable deployment playbooks to scale customer onboarding

You Might Be a Fit If You

• Have exceptional listening and communication skills
• Have product intuition, think in systems and can prioritize ruthlessly
• Can write/debug code (Python, SQL, basic APIs)
• Like wearing many hats: customer success, product, software engineer, commercial
• Can push back with humility and drive clarity from ambiguity
• Have a builder mindset, small ego, and bias for action

Nice-to-haves:

• Familiarity with geospatial tools (GIS, geodata)
• Exposure to renewable energy development
