About FIRST Delivery

FIRST Delivery powers delivery for restaurants.

We provide restaurants with a delivery command center, a single platform where all delivery orders are centralized and intelligently dispatched to the best available driver. That may be the restaurant’s own drivers or third-party fleets such as DoorDash, Uber, and Grubhub.

Over the last 8 years, FIRST has evolved from DoorDash-for-college-campuses, to a DoorDash Drive competitor, to a software platform that now powers millions of deliveries per year without having any of our “own drivers”.


Why This Role Exists (And Why It Matters)

In 2026, we have one singular focus:

Bring on 300 restaurants doing 50+ deliveries per day.

Our core customer is the independent pizzeria, one of the most delivery-dependent and operationally complex restaurant types in the world.

If we accomplish this:

  • We 3× revenue
  • Establish FIRST as the delivery operating system for high-volume independent restaurants

There are over 50,000 independent pizzerias in the U.S. and another 50,000+ in Europe.

For the past 4 months, I (Andrew, CEO) have personally been doing this role. It’s hard. It’s emotionally demanding. It’s operational. And it’s one of the most important roles in the company today. 

Restaurant owners need real help. Labor costs are rising. Food costs aren’t coming down. And Independent Restaurants are paying 30% commissions to be listed on the 3rd party marketplaces. 

So even as delivery volume grows, profitability often doesn’t. This role exists to make delivery a profitable, predictable channel for them.


The Role

This is a founding, customer-facing role with real ownership and real upside.

You’ll work directly with restaurant owners, welcoming them, onboarding them, supporting them, growing their accounts, and representing their needs internally. You’ll also work closer with the CEO than anyone else in the company. 

This is not an easy job, but it is a deeply rewarding one - intellectually, financially, and altruistically. 


Core Responsibilities

1. Onboard Restaurants

  • Lead restaurants from kickoff to go-live
  • Translate messy real-world operations into a clean, working system
  • Make FIRST feel indispensable from day one

2. Build Relationships & Grow Accounts

  • Become a trusted partner to restaurant owners and operators
  • Identify upsell opportunities as accounts scale
  • Retain and expand accounts through real relationships, not scripts

3. Be the Voice of the Customer

  • Communicate feedback directly to the CEO and engineering team
  • Help shape product decisions based on real-world usage
  • Close the loop between restaurant reality and software development

**Restaurant owners are busy and constantly putting out fires. Following through clearly and consistently matters more than polish. Function over form - get shit done. 

**You’re an optimist with grit.
**We’re a small team. Some days are full of wins; others are full of hard conversations. You can take a hit, keep perspective, and move forward without drama. You get knocked down, you get up again - you know how the song goes. 

**Software is intuitive for you.
**You understand how apps work, how workflows connect, and that behind every interface is logic. You naturally think “if this, then that.”

  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Slack for communication
  • Linear for structured feedback and issue tracking

You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable living in modern software tools.
