Senior Geospatial Data Scientist
Date Posted
13 December, 2025
Salary Offered
$75,000 — $85,000 yearly
KorrAI builds advanced geospatial intelligence systems for high-value infrastructure. We support mining companies, hyperscale data centers, energy operators and insurers with tools that help them understand and respond to ground stability and site conditions using satellite radar, GNSS, LiDAR, optical imagery, engineering documentation and AI based interpretation.
One of KorrAI’s core offerings is satellite radar based ground deformation monitoring. Our proprietary InSAR processing system enables large scale, repeatable and defensible measurements that support both engineering teams and risk stakeholders across complex infrastructure.
This role focuses on delivering that InSAR capability and integrating it with other geospatial and engineering context.
Role Summary
The Senior Data Scientist will own the end-to-end delivery of InSAR and multi-sensor deformation analysis projects. You will operate our radar processing workflows, validate outputs, integrate additional datasets and produce clear, client-ready deliverables. This is a hands-on role that blends scientific depth with operational responsibility.
What the role looks like day to day
• Operate and interpret outputs from KorrAI’s proprietary InSAR workflows, including occasional troubleshooting and refinement using tools such as SNAP, ISCE and Linux utilities.
• Lead technical R&D to improve deformation modelling, GNSS calibration, change detection, time-series filtering and QA processes.
• Integrate supporting datasets including LiDAR, optical imagery, DEMs, geological information and field reports to produce accurate multi-source assessments.
• Produce high-quality deliverables for clients using QGIS, Python, Bash, spatial databases and domain context.
• Take full ownership of project delivery including scoping, analysis execution, validation, documentation and client communication.
• Present findings internally and externally with clarity and scientific defensibility.
What we are looking for
• Strong applied experience in radar remote sensing and InSAR, including the ability to understand and debug intermediate artefacts.
• Strong geospatial fundamentals including projections, raster and vector workflows, DEM handling, point cloud integration and error analysis.
• Proficiency with Python and Linux-based environments and comfort with large datasets stored in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead delivery for clients with high attention to quality and reproducibility.
• A practical and curious mindset oriented toward solving complex geospatial problems.
• Experience working with engineering or geotechnical data is an asset.
The culture at KorrAI
KorrAI operates as a remote-first team. We value discipline, clarity and ownership rather than monitoring activity or hours. Senior team members are expected to manage their own work and drive outcomes.
Most collaboration happens asynchronously. We meet a few times per week with overlap between Canada and India. If you are based in Canada, there may be occasional early morning calls. We move quickly, maintain high standards and support each other in solving technically challenging problems.
