Senior / Staff Engineer

Location: Remote (U.S. preferred)
U.S. salary range: $160k - $230k
Reports to: CTO (Founder)
Works closely with: Dev Team Lead

💼 The Role: Senior / Staff Engineer

We're hiring a strong individual contributor who brings deep technical skill, sound judgment, autonomous execution and a bias for action.

You’ll work across the stack to make the platform more reliable, maintainable, and performant — while scoping and shipping major new features that push the product forward.

You’ll collaborate closely with the CTO, who owns product vision and architecture direction, and with the Dev Team Lead, who manages day-to-day delivery.

Your focus: build, debug, and improve systems, and collaborate with the team — not manage people — while bringing the technical maturity that helps the whole team level up.

💡 We’re open to both Senior and Staff-level candidates, depending on experience and scope of impact.

🚀 What You’ll Do

• Plan and deliver large new product features in collaboration with the CTO and product team.
• Investigate and fix high-impact bugs and performance issues across a full stack of web applications.
• Ship improvements that harden scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, translating high-level goals into practical, stable implementations.
• Collaborate with the CTO and Dev Team Lead to leverage and evolve team-wide AI-assisted development workflows to increase speed and maintain quality.
• Strengthen platform foundations — CI/CD pipelines, QA coverage, observability, monitoring, and incident processes.
• Help improve internal tooling and code-quality standards.

🧠 What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 5+ years in modern, full-stack JavaScript / TypeScript (React, Next.js, Node, or similar).
• Experience building or scaling SaaS or low-code platforms.
• Proven ability to design and scale high-performance, resilient systems using modern cloud and edge architectures (e.g., Cloudflare Workers, Vercel, AWS Lambda) and SQL databases (Supabase, Clickhouse etc).
• Deep commitment to constantly evolving AI-native engineering workflows and modern dev-tooling trends.
• Pragmatic engineering judgment and startup mentality — knowing when to refactor vs. ship.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working async in a remote team.

🧾 Compensation, Equity & Benefits

• U.S. salary range: $160k - $230k
• Outside U.S.: Adjusted for local market
• Equity: Negotiable based on seniority and timing
