Mobile QA Engineer

We seek an experienced part-time remote mobile app QA Specialist to support the development of our in-house health and fitness app. You’ll manage the QA process, coordinate with a team of four developers, and help deliver a reliable product. This role also includes managing the workflow in Basecamp.

What You’ll Do

• Test Mobile App Performance – Conduct functional, regression, and user experience testing on iOS and Android platforms, as well as testing our API, AI, and presentational website.
• Manage QA Projects – Oversee testing workflows and timelines to ensure thorough test coverage and on-time delivery.
• Workflow Management – Manage Basecamp and coordinate the tasks with our small team of four developers.
• Collaborate with Developers – Work closely with the development team to identify, document, and resolve issues.
• Implement Automation – Develop and maintain automated testing protocols to improve efficiency.
• Document and Report Issues – Provide detailed bug reports and recommend solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 Years of mobile app QA Experience – Proven experience testing mobile apps is required, so clearly include your mobile app portfolio with links in your CV.
• Relevant Education – Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Automation Tools – Hands-on experience with industry-standard automation tools.
• Project Management Skills – Strong ability to manage testing projects and coordinate with developers.
• Excellent Communication – Strong written and spoken English skills.
• Ability to Work Independently – You must have a strong problem-solving personality and be able to follow through.

Nice to Have

• Interest in Health and Fitness – Familiarity with health and fitness apps is a plus.

Note

The project management aspect of this role is not a traditional PM or Team Lead role. You will manage the workflow and perform QA, which will be your primary task.
