Founding Engineer

Are you a full-stack engineer looking to build something game-changing? At CardLift, we’re rethinking how credit card issuers maximize their share of wallet by making online payments seamless and friction-free for users.

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer to help shape our vision, build scalable systems, and directly influence the product’s trajectory.

What You’ll Be Building

CardLift is a co-branded browser extension that helps users switch payment methods to their new credit card across multiple platforms with a single click. It also promotes card benefits during checkout and offers extra cashback through affiliate partnerships, creating a sticky, value-driven experience for users while boosting revenue for issuers.

As our first engineering hire, you’ll work directly with our founder, Rithwik Pattikonda (creator of OctoShop (acquired by NYSE:IBTA) and TravelArrow (300,000 users)), to build the foundation of CardLift and ensure it’s engineered for rapid growth.

What You’ll Do

• Own the Full Stack: Build, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications using React and Node.js.
• Develop Browser Extensions: Architect and refine our flagship browser extension, ensuring it integrates seamlessly into users’ online activities.
• Web Scraping Expertise: Build intelligent systems to detect and adapt to different payment platforms, extracting and updating data without breaking.
• Shape the Product: Contribute to the product roadmap and feature set, bringing technical insights to help us make smart trade-offs.

What We’re Looking For

• Full-Stack Expertise: Deep experience with React, Node.js, and related frameworks.
• Web Scraping Pro: Hands-on experience building robust web-scraping tools and adapting to dynamic websites.
• Chrome Extension Experience: Bonus points if you’ve built or maintained a browser extension before.
• Scrappy Mindset: You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving tough problems, and are excited to wear many hats.
