Forwarding & Logistics Sales Specialist (SINGAPORE)
(1) Job Description
· Business Development Manager is highly Responsible for gaining new accounts by developing sales, strategies and solution to achieve sales plans based on tech-enable value added services that covers all area of logistics, including freight forwarding & warehousing/local distribution.
· Meet and exceed allocated sales targets by engaging with customers through different channels, determining the specific needs of the prospect, promoting company's freight forwarding service and digital platform to develop and acquire new business opportunities.
· Handle all customers' enquiries related to on-boarding and sales operation process as well as managing customer relationship to deliver high level of customer satisfaction
(2) Role & Responsibility:
- Driving sales
o Offer shipping solutions and promote digital platform value proposition to customers based on their needs and capabilities.
o Generate new contract logistics revenue by sourcing for targeted customers that requires warehousing & distribution services.
o Plan and conduct presentations & live system demo to the customers to differentiate SDS’s solution from other market players.
o Handle customer quotation request; negotiate prices and terms with customers
o Follow up with customers to convert quote enquiry to actual shipment booking
o Establish target accounts for key regional opportunities and ensure that these will be on boarded accordingly
o Identify sales leads to develop new business opportunity.
o Up-selling and cross-selling existing customers to generate more sales
- Customer on-boarding process
o Act as customer on-boarding contact window to introduce and educate company digital platform and services to new customers
o Support customer end-to-end implementation including resolving customer technical problems or enquiries.
o Lead the collaboration among internal departments to ensure that each piece of the on-boarding journey of customer is smooth.
- Account management
o Own and manage customer relationships from the point of sale through successful implementation.
o Engaging with customers and creating a positive relationship with them
(3) REQUIREMENTS:
(a) EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred
- Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skill
- In-depth knowledge of system based operation (Eg. WMS & TMS)
- Multi-tasking and cross functional collaboration capability
- Proficient in Microsoft Words, Excel and Presentation
(b) EXPERIENCE & PREFERENCE
· Min. 8 years’ selling experience in international freight forwarding & Contract Logistics.
· Large customer acquisition experience is a MUST
· Prefer work experience in global logistics company
· Have sales experience as Hunter role
