Releasing in the United States today on both iOS and Android, Facebook Local integrates events and established venues towards a single search engine aggregated by Facebook's 70 million company pages plus testimonials and checkins'.

Facebook Local product manager Aditya Koolwal says that the objective was to simplify the search and planning process among friends. In this case, simplicity is key, since Facebook Events never ever ranked higher than # 139 among social media apps and SensorTower approximates it only acquired 100,000 total downloads.
Facebook Local would even guide you to exceptional pubs on the neighborhood, and discover if one has a band performing. In the meantime, Facebook Local will not include advertisements from companies, however it could be in the pipelines.
