BEAM today announced the introduction of the Messaging Platform for the web (desktop), catered towards businesses and professionals seeking to connect and collaborate with each other more effectively.
The platform mirrors the existing mobile experience of the BEAM App, where users are able to send messages, view professional profiles, companies, news, events, and more. Users will be able to access and experience this new platform via the web at beam.biz starting from today.
"We noticed a large number of users on the platform forming new connections and meet-ups via the BEAM App and wanted to build a more seamless experience for everyone. We believe that with a more open communication approach available on the desktop, people will not only be able to move work forward a lot faster, they'll achieve more collectively.", mentioned Ken Ho, CEO of BEAM
BEAM also mentioned that they are also presently working on testing a profile roles verification feature, aimed at allowing people to identify verified investors, consultants, and service providers via the platform to ensure credibility prior to engaging them for services (example here).
The team has also been actively verifying a selected number of active profiles, especially those in the 'Investor' and 'consultants' category of people. The request to verify an account can easily be done by contacting the BEAM Team directly via the platform.
The team also mentioned that the platform is currently still in the open-beta stage, and some features will only be made available once the platform is fully released. The scheduled release date is scheduled for Q1 of 2017.
