Facebook Rolls Out ‘Professional Mode' To Rival TikTok | BEAMSTART News

Hot on the heels of rival platforms with the creator community, specifically TikTok, Facebook has launched a new professional mode for profiles.

This will enable eligible creators to earn money and gain access to tools to help grow their audience without the need to create a separate Page.

The first monetization option introduced with professional mode for profiles will be the Reels Play bonus program, where creators are able to earn up to $35,000 per month.

The program was previously only open to users with Pages.

Reels will be enhanced with features, such as easily composing a video from multiple clips, the ability to save reel drafts mid-creation and creating longer, 60-second reels.

Those features will be available soon and Facebook plans on expanding Reels to more countries next year.

Similar to Pages, professional mode also opens up access to post, audience and profile insights. Now, creators will be able to see the total number of shares, reactions, and comments including follower growth over time.

Creators will then use the analytics to make informed decisions on creating better content that resonates with their audience.

Once again, privacy remains Facebook’s top priority, where once professional mode is turned on, “anyone can follow you and see your public content in their feed, but you’ll still be in control of who sees what content you share,” Facebook announced.

Professional mode is testing with a limited number of profiles in the US, and it will be expanded to more people in the US soon, with more countries in the coming months.

More tools and capabilities will be added over time as well, including access to more monetization options and other platform tools.

Interested creators can sign up to learn more and additional information about best practices for creating reels can be found here.
