Unlike normal online bookstores, BooksGasm Nepal is on a mission to make books much more accessible and cheaper for its customers. It’s the mind-child of three high school graduates — Reyan Kumar Sapkota, Laviz Pandey, and Rahul Yadav — and one undergraduate engineering student — Prashant Yadav.

BooksGasm Nepal has been successful in increasing its sales by 200 percent since its initiation in August 2021. They have been successful in selling their products at a price less than 40 percent of the retail price. In association with a local wholesale agent, they have been able to maintain their stock, and sell the books at reasonable prices.

Up until now, they are carrying out their transactions via social media handles and regular calls. BooksGasm IT Department says that their website is in its final stage, and assures a timely release. Comprehensive use of Instagram and Facebook has allowed them to acquire customers and enhance their market share. They have also been successful in creating a strong reader’s base via their Instagram Handel. This is yet another example to prove the influence of social media today. Founders say, “Social media helped us to mitigate the hefty newspaper advertisement costs”.

In addition to low prices, they have also incorporated a punctual delivery service. Their official delivery partner is Nepal Cart Logistics (nepacartlogistics.com). Delivery is available to the entire 77 districts of Nepal. Delivery is free when books are bought in a pile (5-10 Books per pile).
