In 2019, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) organized Malaysia Tech Week, a cumulating of physical tech conferences and showcases held in the heart of Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur.
For this year, the company is taking it a step further with Malaysia Tech Month 2020, a month-long curation of the very best in digital and technology keynotes, discussions, and showcases, all set to take place online starting from today.
Malaysia Tech Month 2020 will feature 11 satellite events, with over 70 featured speakers covering a wide range of topics from entrepreneurship, investing, innovation, and more.
The event expects to attract a wide range of industry players ranging from startups, corporates, government stakeholders, SMEs, and many more.

The Department of Statistics has shown that Malaysia’s digital economy is expected to contribute to 20% of the nation's entire economy by 2020, with the e-commerce sector expecting to exceed RM110 billion in revenue in the same year.
“Capitalising on demands and opportunities in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, MTM 2020 aims to reinforce Malaysia’s position as a first-mover for the digital economy and Heart of Digital Asean,” MDEC said in a statement.
