Mastercard, the global card payments company, announced today that it will be investing in Indonesian fintech startup Digiasia Bios.
The Jakarta-based company, founded in 2017, provides digital payments, peer-to-peer lending, and remittance services .
No financial details were disclosed, except that Mastercard will be leading the Series-B round.
Mastercard announced that the company will provide both strategic and financial assistance to Digiasia, as the fintech startup focuses on expanding its solutions across Indonesia.

It’s about finding simple mechanisms that broaden economic opportunities so that people at all levels of society can enjoy the benefits of a modernizing digital economy.”, said Safdar Khan, the division president of Southeast Asia Emerging Markets at Mastercard.
