The event was held on January 15 and 16 at Iskandar Malaysia Studios.

The two-day event was attended by more than 900 attendees, 58 companies and more than 50 regional speakers from 15 cities across the Asia Pacific.

Among the key players from industry giants who attended the event were Alibaba, Traveloka, Ant Financial, Tik Tok, Lazada, and Google.

BaseConf 2020 provided attendees with invaluable knowledge shared by some of the greatest minds in the startup and technology world of Southeast Asia.

The objective of this event is as a catalyst to empower local entrepreneurs and provide them with the right exposure at the regional level as well as accelerate the entrepreneurial momentum in the southern region of Malaysia.

YB Jimmy Puah Wee Tse, Johor International Trade, Investment and Utilities Committee Chairman, who has been vocal in elevating the digital economy of the state, was present for the closing ceremony.
