m.Paani, founded in March 2014, plans to use the fresh funds to invest in product development and accelerate growth and expansion.

m.Paani helps its users to order online across all their daily needs by creating a single shopping list or they can shop directly online from their preferred local shops.

Operated by Mumbai-based Mpaani Solutions, m.Paani has raised a total of $7.4 million in three rounds since inception.

m.Paani claims it currently has more than 50,000 retailers and 7 million consumers on its platform.

“m.Paani has a very strong team and I am very excited to be a part of m.Paani’s journey and see huge potential for them to empower local retailers beyond India,” Gojek CEO Kevin Aluwi said.
