Partnering with FiberStar and CBN as the internet providers, Google Station was already introduced in Indonesia two years ago during Google for Indonesia event.
With Telkom, Google expects to expand Google Station in a short time as Telkom is a state-owned company in communication with the biggest internet network covering the whole archipelago.
Indonesia is the second country, after India, provided with this service. Google Station is also available in Thailand, the Philippine, Brazil, Nigeria, South Africa, and Mexico.
Google Station integrates premium ads inventories into a public wi-fi network enabling the sales team to present the top global brands relevant to customers’ interest.
Besides API for service status, partners who want to install Google Station will be offered brand-based ads and conversion in digital form.
“We proudly announce Telkom as our new partner to enable Google Station to reach more people. The access is just the first step for Indonesians who want to upgrade their digital skills,” Managing Director Google Indonesia Randy Jusuf said.
