Just like every other year, Global Sources Summit took place in parallel with the Global Sources Trade-shows in Hong Kong.
The Summit is a paid segment of the Global Sources event that focuses on educational topics related to trading and sourcing.
This time around, special guest Chris Rawlings from Sophie Society took the stage to share more about how traders could grow businesses more effectively selling on Amazon.
Here are 3 takeaways shared by Chris Rawlings to craft the best product listings to garner higher sales conversions on Amazon:
1) Do cross referencing popular keyword search in cross platforms.
Focus on identifying keywords that are popular across Amazon and other platforms that sellers are using.
As most people on Amazon are searching for items, it is crucial to ensure that the right density of keywords in the title and description of listings is present.
2) Find keywords that focus on a specific audience group
Focus on a keyword that has the highest likelihood of capturing a specific target buyer's attention.
Often times, it is an adjective or a brand. Example: "Cheap Gorilla Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 11".
Chris also mentioned that focus is important. "If you are trying to sell to everyone, you are selling to no one".
3) Start with benefits, not features
When crafting a product listing, focus on the value people will receive (the "WHY") instead of the features of the products (the "WHAT").
Purchase behaviour is emotional, and people reason with logic.
