China Smartphone company Vivo has officially launched the first ever 5G phone in Malaysia yesterday, featuring a 64 megapixel camera and high end tech specifications.
The phone, which is all-screen, is targeted at business users — particularly individuals who travel frequently and wish to take advantage of the 5G capabilities in other parts of the world.
Although this is the first 5G phone that one can officially purchase today, no local telco companies are offering 5G services at the moment.
The 5G spectrum is expected to be rolled out during the second half of 2020, with services available dependent on the telcos themselves.
Many have commended Vivo's efforts in being the first smartphone company to roll out a 5G smartphone in the market, a rare feat considering competitors have yet to catch up.
The new 5G phone is now available for pre-order at RM3899, and can be purchased via their official website here.
