Many businesses have started to use Whatsapp as part of their business and marketing strategy, including this Indian startup — Digi-Prex.
The Indian startup has raised USD5.5 million in a seed funding round from investors including Khosla Ventures, Vedanta Capital, Y Combinator, Quiet Capital and SV Angel — one of the largest seed financing rounds for an Indian startup.
Digi-Prex is a chronic disease management platform which assists in the care of patients with chronic diseases, whereby patients share their prescription with Digi-Prex through WhatsApp and the startup’s workers then deliver the medication to them on a recurring cycle.
The new investment will allow the startup to expand its business to 10 cities across the country including Delhi, Bombay, Chennai, Bangalore, Calcutta, Ahmedabad, Indore, Jaipur, and Cochin.
